Challenge
When UDS Group required an urgent complex delivery of a prototype pharmaceutical machine to Northern Denmark, they faced a significant logistical challenge. The delivery needed to be executed on short notice, with the machine located on the East Coast of Scotland.
Timing was critical, as the equipment had to arrive in Hjørring, Northern Denmark, by Wednesday afternoon to align with crane offloading schedules. Adding to the complexity, the task demanded specialised trailers and coordination with additional hauliers to ensure a seamless operation.
Solution
We stepped in with agility and expertise to tackle the challenge. Mobilising immediately upon the Sunday afternoon request, the team arranged two specialist step deck trailers to collect the machine on the East Coast of Scotland. A plan was crafted to navigate the machine to Immingham, where it boarded the overnight ferry to Denmark on Tuesday evening.
Leveraging an extensive network, the team coordinated with an additional haulier at short notice to provide on-the-ground support in Denmark. This collaboration ensured the delivery remained on schedule, arriving at the destination by Wednesday afternoon.
